Join the Charlotta Bass Journalism & Justice Lab for a special celebration honoring the legacy of Charlotta Bass, a pioneering journalist and civil rights activist. This year’s event will feature our third iteration of the Second Draft Project, where we’ll unveil this year’s interactive interviews.

This year’s event will feature an impactful in-person conversation with Philonise Floyd and Attorney Lee Merritt that explores the advocacy and impact of their work, followed by a demonstration of their Interactive Interviews.

Guests who RSVP will enjoy a soul food luncheon on the Annenberg Patio (first come, first served), thanks to our generous co-sponsors USC Black Alumni Association and USC Gould School of Law. Captivating new artwork by LA-based artist, Shaylen Nelson, will also be displayed.
